Barbara R. (Knutson) Spalding, 73, of Cedar Rapids died Sunday, March 9, 2014. Memorial services will be held June 7, 2014 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. Inurnment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lansing.

Charlotte Nuehring, 82, of Waukon died Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Good Samaritan Center in Waukon. A time for visitation and opportunity to greet family will be held Saturday, March 22 from 12-2 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon. Burial of ashes will be at a later date in Dorchester Methodist Cemetery.

Louis P. Spinner, 86, of Lansing passed away Friday, March 14, 2014 at Thornton Manor in Lansing. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, March 18 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing, with Rev. John Moser as the celebrant. Interment was held at the Gethsemane Cemetery, Lansing.
Louis Phillip, the son of Peter Jacob and Mary (Serene) Spinner, was born November 3, 1927 in Lansing. Louie was welcomed home by three brothers, John Pete, Charles P. and Paul (Kayo) Spinner.

Kathleen Marie Troendle, 80, of Lansing died Monday, March 10, 2014 at Thornton Manor in Lansing. Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, March 15 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing, with Rev. John Moser as celebrant. Burial followed in Gethsemane Cemetery, Lansing.
Kathleen was born July 8, 1933, the daughter of Cyril and Viola (Guider) Garin in rural Harpers Ferry. Kathleen graduated from Immaculate Conception Catholic High School in 1951 in Lansing.

Gladys Rosemary Burfield, 82, formerly of Houston, MN, died Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Northgate Care Center in Waukon. Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22 at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston, MN with the Reverend Lane Zaffke officiating. Burial will follow at Money Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.

Lloyd H. Dehning, 89, of Waukon, formerly of Dorchester, died Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Good Samaritan Center in Waukon. Funeral services were held Monday, March 17 at St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Eitzen, MN, with Pastor Samantha Houser officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. The family requests memorials be made to Good Samaritan Center or St. Luke’s UCC in lieu of flowers.

Mary “Jeanne” McCarthy, 87, of Caledonia, MN passed away peacefully Monday, March 10, 2014 at Caledonia Care and Rehab, Caledonia, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, March 15 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caledonia, MN, with Father Matt Fasnacht officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia, MN.

Alfred "Al" L. Leathers, 82, of Waukon died Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Good Samaritan Center in Waukon. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 13 at 11 a.m. at Zion United Church of Christ in Waukon, with Pastor Samantha Houser officiating. Burial with military graveside rites will be at Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 12 at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 14 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Waukon, with Rev. Richard Iles officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Waukon.
