Alice Marie Eschweiler, age 81, of New Hampton died Thursday, April 11, 2013 at her home. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, April 16 at Holy Family Parish - St. Joseph Center in New Hampton with Rev. Mark Osterhaus celebrating the Mass.
The pall was placed by Alice’s children. Presenting the offertory gifts were Dave Eschweiler, Sheryll Harambasic and Steve Eschweiler. Michelle Lau was the pianist accompanying Shawnessy Lau as cantor.

Judith Ann Gricius, 73, of De Soto, WI went home to her heavenly father Thursday, April 11, 2013. Funeral Services were held Tuesday, April 16 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Stoddard, WI. Burial was at St. Charles Cemetery, Genoa, WI.
Judith was born September 17, 1939 in Melrose Park, IL to James and June (Hall) Smith. She graduated from Valparaiso High School in Chicago, IL in 1958.

Marguerite L. Donahue, 70, of Lake Geneva, WI died Thursday, March 28, 2013 at her home. A Celebration of Life for area family and friends to honor Marguerite is being planned for Saturday, April 20 at 2 p.m. at the Community Center in New Albin.

Gertrude S. Norden, 100, of La Crosse, WI, formerly of Waukon, died Monday, April 8, 2013 at Benedict Manor in La Crosse, WI. Graveside services will be held Monday, April 15 at 11 a.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Waukon, with Rev. Lynn Groe officiating.
Martin Funeral Home in Waukon is assisting the family with arrangements. Gertrude asked to direct memorials to the radio ministry of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Waukon, or a charity of choice.

Armin G. Wuennecke, 87, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of New Albin, died Friday, April 5, 2013 at West Ridge Care Center in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services were held Monday, April 8 at St. John’s Wheatland United Church of Christ in New Albin, with Pastor Paul Burgess officiating. Burial was at the church cemetery.

Dr. Carla Deanne Waller-Schauberger, 40, of Bartlesville, OK went to be with the Lord at 5:18 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center following a sudden illness. Funeral services were held Monday, April 8 at the Grenola Christian Church at Grenola, KS with Pastor Justin Bates officiating. Interment was in the Greenlawn Cemetery at Grenola, KS directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Richard W. Sandry, 77, of rural Lansing died Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 3 at 11 a.m. at Zion United Church of Christ in Waukon, with Pastor Samantha Houser officiating. A private burial with military graveside rites will be held at Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 2 at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon.

John E. Smith, DVM, 88, of Wadena died Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Center, Waukon. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 6 from 9-11 a.m. at Garden View Assisted Living in Monona. A private family inurnment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery, Volga.

James C. Ricketts, 66, of Marquette passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien, WI. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday, April 5 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in McGregor. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
James Carl Ricketts, the son of Robert and Dora (McCain) Ricketts, was born October 1, 1946 in Dubuque. He attended Gays Mills High School in Gays Mills, WI. James served in the U.S. Navy.

Lillian Eileen Bieber, 77, of Waukon died Friday, March 29, 2013 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. A celebration of life was held Tuesday, April 2 at the Waukon Banquet Center, with Chris Leppert officiating. Committal service was held at Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Lillian's grandchildren served as her honorary pallbearers.
