Iowa Homeland Security, Emergency Management Division, and the National Weather Service have declared April 2-6 as Severe Weather Awareness Week. A statewide tornado drill will be held April 4, starting at 10 a.m.
At 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, Allamakee County will be blowing Outdoor Warning Sirens in all communities. Residents are encouraged to take this time to consider their planning for potential disaster situations. It is also important to recognize and be aware of the different warning devices that cover a particular area.
