Family owned and operated, the Empty Nest Winery opened for business west of Waukon in November, 2011. Owners Dave and Pam Kruger say that while they have no formal training in wine making, their wines are the result of a lot of trial and error making and tasting wines.
Located on Dave’s family's home farm at 1352 Apple Road, the Empty Nest Winery offers hand-crafted wines made in small batches from a variety of berries and grapes hand-picked on their farm or from other areas, primarily in northeast Iowa.
