The Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office has received a $2,250 donation from the family of Don Angel of Waukon. This monetary donation was used to purchase a forward looking infrared (FLIR) thermal imaging camera. The purchase of this camera will be a valuable resource to first responders for search and rescue operations under adverse conditions. Pictured at right is Audrey Angel, wife of the late Don Angel, holding the camera. The FLIR thermal imaging camera is a handheld, portable unit that forms a visible image by using infrared radiation.
